Course contents :  Presentation of the main philosophical streams, from the Presocratics to Aristotle.
Course objective :  The aim of the course is to give the basic knowledge of both the particular concepts and way of thinking of the ancient philosophy, and the influence it had on the history of philosophy until now.
Prerequisites :  References are made to the main greek notions, but the knowledge of ancien greek is not required.

Written notes :  A collection of texts, documents, summaries and bibliography, is furnished, but the notes taken by the students during the course are indispensable.
Assessment :  Oral examination in June (and, only for the philosophers, a written work of about 15 pages to be achieved in May).
