| Course contents : | 1) Preparation of samples for bioanalysis (P. Chiap): - Review of the importance and the objectives of treatment of biological samples. - Description of different modes of preparation of biological samples. - Detailed presentation of the technique for extraction in the solid phase and its automatization (at-line and on-line modes). - Description of the main types of support for extraction. 2) Mass spectrometry in complex environments (M. Fillet): - Review of the theoretical ideas involved with mass spectrometry. - Description of the main sources and analyzers used for the analysis of medicines in complex environments. - Requirements connected to the presence of complex matrices (preparation of samples, coupling with a separation technique: LC, GC or CE, ionization suppression effect). - Presentation of LC-, CE- and GC-MS applications. 3) Chirality (A. Ceccato) 4) Practice with chromatographical methods in complex environments (J. Crommen) 5) Validation of bioanalytical methods (P. Chiap): - Review of the context of validation in bioanalysis. - Detailed description of the criteria of validation applied in bioanalysis. - Presentation of a protocol for validation of a bioanalytical method. - Analysis of guidelines and recommendations of the FDA in this regard. |
