 |  | Pathology and general surgical treatments |

 | - Common physiopathological problems; prevention and diagnostic of common complications |
 |  | Notions of anesthesia and analgesia |

 | The course focuses on the following topics: - concepts of general anaesthesia, sedation/analgesia, and hypnosedation - roles of the anaesthetist-resuscitator, including maintenance of homaeostasis during and after intervention - local anaesthetics and anaesthesias - epidural and/or spinal anaesthesia and analgesia and peripheral nerve blockings - acute and chronic pains, analgesic products and techniques - postoperative analgesia and patient management in the Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) |

 | Approach the specificity of healthy and sick in elederly and risks of functional decline. This module approaches the aspects of the medecine of the elderly subject and the impact of frailty. |

 | Allow the future surgical trainee to understand the prevention, diagnostic and therapy methods applied to the surgical patient. |
 |  | Notions of anesthesia and analgesia |

 | Discover and understand anaesthesia and resuscitation, the techniques and procedures which allow the patients to undergo diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions with the highest levels of comfort and safety before, during and after the intervention. |

 | This module studies the characteristics of the elderly's frailty, semiology of the elderly, the geriatric assessment, the therapeutic, diagnostic and ethics particularities. |
