| Course objective : | Current evaluation of anthropogenic threats towards the marine environment |

| Prerequisites : | Basic knowledge in biology, biochemistry and biogeochemical cycles |

| Workshops : |
- Topic: Mercury exposure -Hg analysis in hair
- Details will be given during the theory class. Training will be given in March 2009 in the Laboratory for Oceanology
- A written report and oral presentation of results are expected
- Evaluation will be integrated in the student final mark

| Organization : | Marine Ecotoxicology class will start on February 6th 2009, each Friday from 10:00 to 12:00 AM during 6 weeks. Location: Laboratory for Oceanology, B6C, 2nd floor Sart-Tilman The remaining teaching hours should be devoted to the preparation of a public seminar. |

- Oral (1) and written (2) evaluations will be realised.
(1) Each student will have to submit a short review: 5 pages A4 including 10 scientific references on a topic selected by the student in the field on marine toxicology (2) the student will have to present to work orally (power-point presentation of max 10 min). |
