Course contents :  The students of the fifth year pharmaceutical sciences course have the choice, during semester 9, between a training in a laboratory of the Department of Pharmacy or a stay in a foreign country as Erasmus students.



The training at the laboratory of medicinal chemistry, like in the other laboratories of the Department, takes place 4 days a week, the fifht day of the week being devoted to theoretical lessons.
Course objective :  The training aims at familiarizing the student with research in medicinal chemistry.

The student will be integrated in a research projet developed at the laboratory of medicinal chemistry.



Two main themes:

- Synthesis of original molecules with therapeutic potentials.

- Study of the structure-activity relationships and determination of physico-chemical constants used in the design of new drugs.
Prerequisites :  Medicinal chemistry
Organization :  From september to december (semester 9), 4 days a week.
Assessment :  The students have to prepare a research report to be defended in the presence of a jury.
