Classification of machine tools. Graphic and schematic representation of machines and sets of tools. Operating parts and control parts. Diagrams: of phases, step-by-step sequences, GRAFCET. Digitally controlled machines. Manual and computer-assisted programming. Preparatory functions G and auxiliary functions M. Cycles of turning and milling -ISO and specific types. Computer assisted production using software programs. Flexible production systems using removal of shavings SFF for machining of sheet and tube metals. Workshops :   Complex exercise: programming and production of a turning component using a digitally controlled lathe (CN) and of a prismatic part using a milling machine that is digitally controlled.
