| Course contents : | Thermal exchanges between human and ambient. Calculation of comfort conditions. Analysis of the microclimate. Calculation of heating, ventilation and cooling demands. Local and global heating, heat emittors (water-based ; air-based ; radiating ; accumulating). Electrical heating and heat pumps. Air-conditioning systems: central control, terminal units, fan coils, induction units. |

| Course objective : | The main objective of the course is to give to the students the required elements to design and operate air conditioning equipments applied to buildings as well as to vehicles. The course is also an illustration and an integration of matters like applied thermodynamics, heat and mass transfers, fluid mechanics and thermal systems |

| Workshops : | Similar organisation as for the workshops of MECA0002-1 et MECA0006-1: exercises performed on computers using EES software and laboratories |
