| Course objective : | To understand the physics of the flow in turbomachines. To understand the methods used for aerodynamic design of turbomachines. |
| Prerequisites : | Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics. |
| Workshops : | Projects are organized which consist in designing a compressor or turbine stage and analysing its performance, using MATLAB or FORTRAN programming. |
| Organization : | 8 sessions of 4 hours each are organized during the first part of the academic year. |
| Written notes : | Course notes are available, as well as a collection of solved exercises. These notes are regularly updated and are distributed during the course. |
| Assessment : | The examination consits in presenting the results of the project. |
