| Course contents : | The literature of two centuries will be presented through its main emphases and schools, and through its main authors. This literature will be placed in relation to the circumstances of its creation: a society, a history, an institution. A more extensive and methodical analysis will be given to the period extending from 1848 to 1960. Class work: as the class progresses, students will be required to read several significant works from the period 1848-1960. |
