Course contents :  On the basis of " Pedagogical Guidelines for

Bac 3 " ( see there ) -- both Ingénieurs de

gestion and Sciences de gestion -- this

course directly prepares students for the

TOEFL, which they are encouraged to take

with one or other of the official representa-

tives ( Aix-la-Chapelle, Bruxelles, Cologne,

etc. ). In addition, students have to both

prepare and present a portfolio of activities

( Tell Me More, Business Simulations,

Case Studies, etc. ) that is going to form

the core of their final assessment. A fake

TOEFL is organised for those students

who will not sit for the real exam.
Course objective :  See Bac 3 ( Ingénieurs de gestion et Sciences de gestion : Jean-Louis Cupers )for a description of the objectives of the course, the fourth year being a direct continuation of the junior classes ( i.e. third year English ).
Prerequisites :  See Bac 3.
Workshops :  Elaboration of Portfolio of activities. This

will form the basis of the student's

assessment at the end of the year in addition

to the TOEFL.
Written notes :  For Workbooks see Bac 3. Bibliography : Oxford Advanced Grammar, Cambridge Advanced Grammar ; Intelligent Business ( Pearson ) ; Oxford or Cambridge Advanced Dictionaries ( Business Plus ) ; Business and Economics ( Langues pour tous ).
Assessment :  In addition to continuous assessment in class there is both an oral and a written test.
