Course contents :  Students learn how to develop the four basic skills required when learning a foreign language while using the kind of interaction that is common in everyday life. Starting from such dialogues students will gradually become acquainted with current vocabulary and basic grammar rules of the Spanish language (conjugations, pronouns, demonstrative, deictic and possessive adjectives). Students are called upon to produce personal work in class such as participate in dialogues and compelte exercices and at home such as memorise vocabulary and grammar rules, prepare written exercices and listening comprehension.
Course objective :  Make it possible for students to
- Introduce themselves (who they are, where they live, their tastes, their hobbies, etc.)
- Ask a Spanish-speaker fairly simple questions such as information on prices, time, timetable, routes.
- Acquire some basic notions about Spanish culture.: geography, some major dates in recent history, etc.
- Acquire basic grammatical notions of the Spanish language.
Prerequisites :  None.
Workshops :  During workshops the stress is laid on oral production.
Organization :  One two-hour class every week. Students are invited to attend classes.
Written notes :  Students will buy three syllabuses (Gramática - Lexicología -Verbos) and a listening comprehension CD. Another CD with the recorded dialogues used in the syllabus is also available but not compulsory.
Assessment :  The final mark will be based on the written examination, the oral examination and also on the listening comprehension test.
