| Course contents : | This makes up the third part of the course English Level A for Information and Communication students (started in the first year).
The aim of the course is to apply all the various tools that have been accumulated over the years and to tie them to, at least globally, the courses of the Information and Communication students. |

| Course objective : | - Improve students' abilities to deal with various English texts and articles (understanding, analysing, reacting to the content).
- Improve the oral skills and argumentation abilities that the students have acquired over time.
- Develop and improve the reading and the vocabulary acquiring skills and hone them.
- Focus on subjects of everyday life, and those in the news and discuss them. The aim is to exchange ideas and to argument one's point of view.
The general purpose of the course is to enable students to express themselves with a relative ease on all sorts of matters pertaining to the world of communication. |

| Prerequisites : | Thorough knowledge of the vocabulary and grammar principles learned in the first part of the course. |

| Workshops : | Though presence is not mandatory, active participation is. No slouching will be accepted. |
 |
| Organization : | The course takes place on a weekly basis of two hours a week. The reading file that will be available to students at flash Copy must be read in order to participate fully in class. The reading file will consist of various articles, cartoons and pictures meant to stimulate and broaden the discussion. Multimedia will be used, when possible, depending on the availability of the source materials and the necessary equipment. |

| Written notes : | The reading files, which will be available each week. In addition to which you will be expected to read a book, to be determined for your oral examination. |

| Assessment : | The final evaluation consists of an oral examination, in the form of a discussion about a book, that has yet to be chosen. |
