Partim I: theory and massage techniques

Massage techniques of musculoskeletal system.

Partim II: hydro- and mechanotherapy

5 sessions (+/- 1,5 h) describing mechanotherapy devices, related to muscular reinforcement and articular range gain (inferior and superiors limbs).

Course objective :  
Partim I: theory and massage techniques

To master massage techniques of musculoskeletal system.

Partim II: hydro- and mechanotherapy

  • to allow comprehension of therapeutic indications and limits of hydro- and mechanotherapy, in order to integrate them to the other rehabilitative techniques;
  • to master practice of these two techniques.

Prerequisites :  
Partim I: theory and massage techniques

  • Previously: anatomy, biomechanics
  • Later: further studies in physiotherapy (Bac3).

Partim II: hydro- and mechanotherapy

- Physics,
- Biomechanics.

Organization :  
Partim I: theory and massage techniques

1st quadrimester, at the same time that "multidisciplinary module about specific physiotherapy, Partim I: theory and massage techniques Theory".

Student participation in practical work sessions is obligatory. Any absence must be explained. A student who is not present at a minimum number of practical work sessions (a minimum of 75% of sessions) may be refused access to the practical exam.

Material: a towel and massage cream

Equipment: sports clothing and a swimming costume are indispensable.

Partim II: hydro- and mechanotherapy

1st quadrimester (see timetable notice board).

Assessment :

Oral exam in June.

Partim II: hydro- and mechanotherapy

Oral evaluation in June.
