| Course contents : | The solution of complex problems involves their decomposition into standard subproblems for which efficient and well-studied algorithms and data structures exist. This course introduces the functioning and application of the most important data structures and associated algorithms. The concepts presented in class are supplemented by theoretical exercises and programming projects in Java. |
| Course objective : | Understand fundamental data structures and algorithms and know how to apply them. |
| Prerequisites : | Basic knowledge of algorithms and programming |
| Organization : | 2nd quadrimester, Mondays 8:30-12:30 304/B4 (Europe) |
| Written notes : | available online |
| Assessment : | Theory assignments; programming projects; written, closed-book exam
Attention: The theory assignments and programming projects that accompany the course are only organized during this quadrimester. There is no make-up procedure for the 2nd exam session; projects must be handed in by the given deadlines. |
