Course contents :  The modern pharmacy can be considered as a small business. It follows the same rules of management and quality. Its existence and future development have to be warranted. Today the computerisation of all activities of the pharmacy is required to ensure good management.
Course objective :  The primary objective of the course is to introduce the basic concepts of management and computerisation of a pharmacy, by taking into account its sanitary and socio-economical environment. The pharmacist is not only a healthcare professional but also a manager able to head a team of coworkers, provide a high quality service, care for the financial aspects of his/her business and anticipate the future. Computers play a major role in the modern information society of the 21st century. The pharmacist, therefore, should be properly trained on pharmacy information systems, telematic applications, the Internet, security and confidentiality aspects of electronic healthcare data.
