Course contents :  - General presentation of economics
- Study of the major economic systems
- Study of the market mechanisms and price formation in perfect competition and imperfect competition: more technical approach to economics.
- A few fundamental notions
Course objective :  - Familiarisation with the language of economics with a view to initiating students in the fundamental notions of general economics
- Development of a critical approach to the economic environment and understanding the mechanisms of economic activity on the basis of the essential aspect of interdependence and movement (balanced permanent research) in order to avoid simplistic reasoning.
- Development of rigour (precision) of analysis and the correct use of the terms employed
- Ability to structure an argument and demonstrate a critical mind

- At the beginning of each class: answers to questions concerning the previous class, which implies regular work
- Explanation of the summary notes provided, which implies active participation in class (accompanied by note-taking).
- Illustration of the theoretical notions through numerous examples taken from economic reality
- Correction of exercises (to be prepared)
