| Course contents : | Each stage of Prehistory is reconstructed in the complexity where the religious phenomenon is placed in its role of justifying activity. Each "moment" in human history is thus a balance between diverse components, organised by the religious institution. These aspects, placed in diachronic perspective, give a dynamic value to long-term transformations. |
 |
| Course objective : | To develop the significance of the religious phenomenon, in all human societies and through time. To demonstrate the evolutionary importance of this component of original humanity. To trace the different steps that mark the development of the religious spirit in relation to other social activities. The traces of prehistoric religions are then defined in classic civilisations. |
