Course contents :  A different theme is developed each year: the major archaeological sites in Greece; Greek architecture: construction techniques and excavation material; archaeology of the sanctuary of Delphi; funerary archaeology of the Aegean World: recent discoveries.
Course objective :  The objective of the course is the in-depth study of one aspect of the archaeology of the Greek World. Emphasis is principally on problems of methodology and a concrete example is often, in the second part of the course, the subject of a detailed examination that highlights its specific details (inventory of elements of a monument and principles of architectural rebuilding and reconstruction, aspects of a study intended for publication).
Prerequisites :  Basic knowledge acquired during the two first years.

Written notes :  A specific bibliography is recommended during the first class.
Assessment :  Oral examination at the end of the year. The exam allows an evaluation of knowledge acquired as well as the ability to synthesize and present the material.
