The course tackles the localisation problems of three big activity sectors: - industries; - logistics parks and logistic platforms and - services.
The following issues will be taken into account: new constraints induced by technological, economic and social changes, location trends (at various scales), key location principles and location optimization principles.

To lead transport professional to take the location issue into account in their daily activities. This integration is related with two key elements: to optimize the functioning of these activities and to take the sustainable development objectives into account.

A good knowledge of the current economic, political and spatial context is very useful as the course take questions of the day into account.

In addition, within the framework of this module, two sessions of practical work are organised: one about the methods allowing optimizing the localisation of the industries and heavy tertiary sector activities and the other about the localisation of services and shops.
