- Mathematics of Map Projections.
- Projections Properties.
- Azimuthal Projections.
- Cylindrical Projections.
- Conical Projections.
- Projections of the Whole World.
- Suitable Use of Projections.
Course objective :  - Transformations form the Spheroid to the plan

- Analysis of the generated alterations

- Methods and properties of the cartographic projections

Organization :  10 x 3 h

Written notes :  - Slides PowerPoint
- Slides in PDF format available on a FTP server devoted to the students
Assessment :  Practical: exercises carried out during the year are evaluated. In case of failure, a written practical examination is mandatory.

Theory: oral examination

Success is conditionned by the success in both exams (theory and practical). In case of failure, partial exemption (theory or practical) coud be given.
