- Cartographic Production
Course objective :  Computer assisted cartography, including introductio to DAO and specific algorithms
Base maps and thematic mapping, with design and construction of various maps and charts (surveying option) with dedicated software
Prerequisites :  - Introduction to geographical sciences - Partim: geomatics & surveying
- Introduction to computer science
Workshops :  Base maps and thematic mapping, with design and construction of various maps and charts (surveying option) with dedicated software
Organization :  - 10 x 3 h Theory

- 10 h Practice
- 30 h Exercises (students in Geography)
- 40 h Exercises (students in Geomatics)

-1st & 2d semester

- Institute of Physics B5, 2d floor, 2/35
- Exercices are given by scientifical staff
Written notes :  - Slides PowerPoint
- Slides in PDF format available on a FTP server devoted to the students
Assessment :  - Practical: exercises carryied out during the year are evaluated. In case of failure, a practical examination (written form) is mandatory

- Theory: oral examination

Success is conditionned by the success in both exams (theory and practical). In case of failure, partial exemption (theory or practical) coud be given.
