| Course objective : | - Formalizing geographic data and processes - Geographic macro modelling - Learning by applications and projects - Handling of digital maps, digital elevation models and remotely sensed data |

| Prerequisites : | Windows environment on PC Cartography Useful: Spatial Analysis and Remote Sensing |

| Workshops : | Integrated during the lectures, with practical works achieved on PC with dedicated software |

| Organization : | Beginning of the 2d semester. Intensive lectures (one or two weeks - 3 to 6 h / day) Scheduled with the students choosing this optional lecture. |

| Written notes : | - Slides PowerPoint - Slides in PDF format available on a FTP server devoted to the students |

| Assessment : | Written examination, consisting in the modelling and solving of an application with the help of the dedicated software used during the practical works. |
