Master en sciences de la population et du développement à finalité spécialisée en population et environnement, 2nd yearToute l'année3

Course contents :  The course is made of two major parts:
- valorisation of agricultural raw materials (7h30);
- valorisation of mining products (7h30).
The specificities of those two sectors will be first analysed. Afterwards, various issues will be taken into account: production and consumption, key-actors policy, organisation of the markets (price, circulation, rules and agreements). Those issues will be taken into account at different scales: global, continental, national and regional. On this basis, the aim of the course is to identify good and bad conditions concerning the valorisation of raw materials. The course also takes into account the possible industrialisation strategies that can be based on raw materials, as well as the issue of micro-firms and informal sector.
Course objective :  To allow future graduates in population and development sciences to integrate the issue of "raw materials" in the development.
