Course contents :  Description of inland waterways :
- Hydraulics structures in waterways : navigation control weirs, lock navigation , hydro-electricity, fish passes,
- Multipurpose Use of the waterways : commerce & transport, tourism, irrigation,..
- Link with water ressources manageme
- River versus canal
- Upper reach of canal
- Basic knowledge of river engineering : bank protection, ...
Workshops :  The course includes practical works. Some homeworks are marked.
Organization :  Organized form Sept. to January. 2h classes a week and 4 days of personal work to realise practical works.
Written notes :  2 syllabus (pdf version distributed - available on FTP website)
Assessment :  Practical works are marked (50%)
An oral examination (50%)
