| Course contents : | The course consists primarily of didactic lectures plus illustrations from actual cases. It covers the indispensable steps contained in the elaboration of a transportation plan, namely : analysis of demand and supply, techniques for making projections, techniques of financial and socio-economic evaluation, decision-making aids, rate-setting and financing. |
|
| Course objective : | This course is part of a "project" module: thus its objective is to define a theoretical basis as necessary for students to be able to carry out a concrete project. This course, applied to the area of transportation, defines tools that can be used in other types of production activities. |
|
| Prerequisites : | First year Master student in good standing. |
|
| Workshops : | Carrying out and completing a project (50h) |
|
| Written notes : | The course is very specific and class notes should be sufficiently detailed: it is not necessary to consult particular works. For students who wish to proceed further, a library for transportation topics is being assembled, mainly with the service's own funding. |

| Assessment : | Oral examination and project grade. |
