Language :  Langue française
Course contents :  Methods of structural analysis : Introduction - Basic theorems - Flexibility method (classical) - Stiffness method (classical, simplified, use of software) - Moment distribution method - Trusses - Influence lines - Plastic global analysis (basic theorems, static and kinematic methods) - Second order effects - Worked examples.
Course objective :  Deliver the background of the methods of global analysis and train to the determination of internal forces and displacements in a given structure subjected to a given loading.

Develop the physical understanding of geometric (second order effects) and matérial (yielding) non linearities and discuss their consequences.
Prerequisites :  Strength of materials - Elementary statics.
Workshops :  A substantial part of the lectures is devoted to exercises and worked examples.
Organization :  Lectures and exercises are organised alternately.
Written notes :  Available.
Assessment :  Separate oral (theory) and written (exercises) examinations.
