Course contents :  To have the competencies for selecting appropriate materials for specific applications
Course objective :  Scope of lectures:

- Concrete technology: design methods, additions, admixtures, moulding and placing
- Optimisation ;
- Special metallic materials;
- Durability of polymers and wood ;
- Polymer cement mortars;
- Design of special concretes(fiber, industrial, sprayed, self-compacting, roller compacted, BUHP, under water, ...) ;
- Conception and design of GFRP and CFRP ;
- Geosynthetics design ;
- Water and construction(waterproofing membranes, hydrofugation,...) ;
- Material behaviour under fire conditions.
- QC/QA and conformity of materials
Prerequisites :  GCIV0184-2 "Matériaux de construction"
Workshops :  Concrete technology - Composite materials - Geosynthetics - Research project (in collaboration with industry)
Organization :  1st quadrimester
