Course contents :  The course comprises three parts:
- A description of the vegetation types with analysis of the factors influencing their past and present distributions
- A story of agriculture and its consequences on the environment
- An analysis of traditional and modern management practices of natural ressources
Course objective :  To understand the structure of vegetation types and of the environment in tropical regions with emphasis on supported constraints

Workshops :  Visit of the National Botanical Garden (Meise) to illustrate the forms of botanical life and their distribution
