Course contents :  Theoretical and practical approach to the use of macroscopic bio-indicators (algaes, bryophytes, angiosperms, macro-invertebrates, fish).
Course objective :  To demonstrate the usefulness and limits of benthic macroscopic organisms for bio-indication (bioaccumulation, primary productivity, structure of accumulation of populations).
Prerequisites :  Basic knowledge of biology (not indispensable)
Workshops :  Collection, observation with a loupe, identification of macro-invertebrates, calculation of indices (IBGN)
Organization :  3-day residential seminar (coupled with the ENVT2014 course, 1 credit) at the Scientific Station in the Hautes-Fagnes (ULg)
