| Course contents : | Theoretical and practical approach to the use of macroscopic bio-indicators (algaes, bryophytes, angiosperms, macro-invertebrates, fish). |

| Course objective : | To demonstrate the usefulness and limits of benthic macroscopic organisms for bio-indication (bioaccumulation, primary productivity, structure of accumulation of populations). |
|
| Prerequisites : | Basic knowledge of biology (not indispensable) |
|
| Workshops : | Collection, observation with a loupe, identification of macro-invertebrates, calculation of indices (IBGN) |
|
| Organization : | 3-day residential seminar (coupled with the ENVT2014 course, 1 credit) at the Scientific Station in the Hautes-Fagnes (ULg) |
