Course contents :  Divided into 3 parts :

Gas phase : A.C. Romain

Liquid Phase : Main parameters : L. Vandevenne

Water, Liquid phase and solid waste : J-L VASEL

Each part is organized in a similar way
Course objective :  Presents the main parameters to characterize waters, waste waters, solid wastes and air pollution. The meaning of those parameters and the way to measure them are presented. A special attention is given to sensors and on the appropriate way to use such sensors.
Prerequisites :  Basic levels in physics and chemistry
Workshops :  visits on the field and application of chemical sensors to liquid flowrate measurements
Organization :  Is given during the 1° semester. Lectures by 1/2 day modules. Practical training is given at the end.
Written notes :  Copies of the PowerPoint presentations.

The files are also available on the intranet for students.
Assessment :  Written examination

Practical training is also evaluated.
