Course contents :  "Building acoustics and Noise control" addresses the basic principles which can be used to solve problems in room acoustics, sound insulation and evaluation of discomfort and annoyance.
Contents : Fundamentals of acoustics, psychoacoustics, discomfort due to noise, noise measurements and regulations, room acoustics, air-borne and structure-borne sound insulation, environmental acoustics, traffic noise.
Course objective :  "Building acoustics and Noise control" addresses the basic principles which can be used to solve problems in room acoustics, sound insulation and evaluation of discomfort and annoyance.
Prerequisites :  none
Workshops :  Exercises and some laboratory experiments (demonstrations)
Organization :  september to december, 13 lessons (4H each).
Written notes :  Ask the teacher.
Assessment :  Oral examination on theory and exercises.
