Course contents :  Contents: introduction, signals and telecommunications systems, continuous wave modulation, random variables, stochastic processes and noise, propagation and radio systems, introduction to digitization, digital baseband transmission, digital modulation, main principles of GSM networks, bases of powerline communications.
Course objective :  Basic understanding of analog and digital telecommunications systems.
Prerequisites :  None
Workshops :  Work on baseband transmission (by teams of 2 students)
Organization :  This course takes place during the second semester. It includes a lecture on theory and training session per week.
