Course contents :  "Introduction to audio and video techniques" addresses the methods and techniques used in the recording and reproduction of audio and video signals. Contents : Fundamentals of acoustics, audio measurements, electroacoustic transducers, digital audio, video signals, optical recording (compact disc, DVD), virtual audio, audio and video compression (MPEG), laboratory exercises.
Course objective :  "Introduction to audio and video techniques" addresses the methods and techniques used in the recording and reproduction of audio and video signals.
Prerequisites :  Systems control and analysis, Signal Processing
Workshops :  Blackboard exercises

+ laboratory sessions (organised for small groups of students)
Presence at these laboratory sessions is mandatory. The laboratory sessions are organized only once per academic year.
Organization :  september to december - 13 lessons, each of about 4h
(theory, exercises or laboratory sessions and seminars).
Written notes :  Edited by A.E.E.S.
Assessment :  - written examination in january (1st session)

- oral in september (2nd session).
