Course contents :  The course "International Macroeconomics" studies the interactions of national economies and their implications at the international level: global growth, employment, migration and international financial stability.
The topics covered are:
The balance of payments, exchange rates determination, the foreign exchange market et the other international financial markets, fixed and floating exchange rate regimes, the Euro, financial crises...
Course objective :  The objective of this course is to provide the students with the theoretical and statistical elements to analyse descriptive and quantitative international economic information.
At the end of this course, the students should be able to write briefing notes on the main topics covered in this course by using their theoretical and empirical knowledge.
Prerequisites :  Undergraduate macroeconomics
Workshops :  Exercises, reading of newspaper articles and academic papers
Organization :  Lectures, presentation of students' applied works, and writing of briefing notes on headlines topics.
Written notes :  Krugman, Paul and Maurice Obstfeld (2006) International Economics. Theory and Policy, 7th edition, Pearson.

Salvatore, Dominick (2007) International Economics, 9th edition, Wiley.
Assessment :  Grading will be based on the final written exam (70%) at the end of the semester and works and exercises realised during the semester (30%).
