| Course objective : | The aim of the course is to introduce to the running of health care and insurance markets :
- Features of health care (uncertainty, externalities, information asymmetry,¿)
- Definitions of moral hazard and adverse selection
- Comparative analysis of health system in the O.E.C.D. countries
- Analysis of determinants of health care demand (incomes, morbidity,¿)
- Analysis of variations in medical practices of providers
- Study of effectiveness and equity goals pursued by public authorities
- Analysis of reforms introduced into health care and insurance markets
