Course contents :  Topics of the course :
- Discussion about the classifications of different credits : loan, credit line, revolving credit, Cash withdrawal facilities, straight loan, investment credit, ...
- Contractual clauses and legal rules about interest and other charges : annual percentage rate , fixed or variable rate, simple or compound interest, usury, penalties, early repayment charge, ...
- Consumer credit : Act of 12 June 1991.
- Home credit : Act of 4 august 1992.
- Insurance and credit.
- Leasing.
- Factoring.
Course objective :  Understanding of the legal and financial mechanisms on which the different credits are founded.
Critical analysis of the contractual clauses.
Calculation of the amounts due by the borrower : principal, interest, penalties, ...
Prerequisites :  Obligation Theory - Guarantees et Securities Law
