Course contents :  The course is divided in two parts. In the first part we will study the rudiments of the Belgian constitutional law. This part will be mainly devoted to the study of the structure of the Belgian State, to the description of the various federal institutions and their competence. The Court of arbitration (its origin, its structure, its role) will also hold the attention. The second part will be devoted to the private law. We will present the various sources of the law, we will carry out a classification of the subjective laws, we will distinguish legal acts and facts. we will apprehend the mechanism of the civil liability. We will also approach the proof, the subjects of right (individual and moral entity).
Course objective :  To initiate the students with the bases of the right, so much with the public law (which organizes the working of the authorities and the relations of the citizen with those) that with the private law (which governs the relations between private individuals).
Prerequisites :  Nothing
Organization :  2008-2009 - Two hours a week - The active participation of the student is sincerely hoped. It is desirable to be provided with the Belgian Constitution and the Civil Code.
