Course contents :  This course has a general practical orientation. It is useful for the students who plan to notaries orientation (where that subject has an important place) but also for the people who plan to another profession in law, such as lawyer or solicitor in a bank.

The course contains two parts, decedent's estate law and liberalities, which are interrelated. The main goal is to go into detail of the legal rules which have been studied during the lecture of the First Master in Law: introduction to decedent's estate law and liberalities. The subject matter, especially over decedent's estate law, is studied from hung juries, commentaries of the doctrine and practical situations. The lecture is useful for the study of successoral planning or registration duties.
Course objective :  The purpose of the course is to bring an answer to the main important questions and mostly to suggest a case method for the resolution of the problem over decedent's estate law and liberalities. The lecture is a significant pre-necessary in fiscal law.
Prerequisites :  The good cognition of the course "Obligations theory and contracts "and "Introduction to decedent's estate law and liberalities" is necessary.

A recall of these two courses is provided during the lectures.
Organization :  The course is given especially with the resolution of practical exercises.
Written notes :  Written notes are available regularly. Theses notes contain theoretical development and the resolution of the exercises.

Civil Code is necessary as well as a calculator.
Assessment :  The examination will be in May or June and will be in the shape of a practical exercise.

A part of the examination may consist in an essay. The evaluation of the essay will be included in the final mark.
