| Course contents : | The course starts with a general portrait of juvenile delinquency and consequently explores: - the influence of contextual elements on juvenile delinquency, - certain types of offences committed by juveniles, - the (judicial) reaction towards juvenile delinquency |

| Course objective : | - acquire a good knowledge of certain themes related to juvenile delinquency, - further presentation skills |
 |
| Prerequisites : | - Droit de la jeunesse (juvenile justice) - Théories criminologiques (criminological theory) |
 |
| Workshops : | presentations on the basis of literature made available to the students |
 |
| Organization : | - lectures - student presentations - debate with magistrates working in juvenile justice |
 |
| Written notes : | Are made available to the students: - the powerpoint presentations used during the course, - the literature used as support for the course. |
 |
| Assessment : | The evaluation will be based on: - the student presentations and participation in the discussions during the course, - a written exam. The students choose two themes amongst the different themes explored during the course. Far each theme chosen the students write an argumentation, in two days time, in response to a statement presented by the lecturer. |
