Course contents :  The course consists of a theoretical part followed by workshops. The theoretical part concerns the courses on bibliographical research in both organic chemistry/biochemistry and organic/inorganic chemistry. Workshops are specific to the selected options.
Course objective :  Finetuning techniques in documentary research so that students acquire the tools they need to write their final dissertation in the next study cycle.
Prerequisites :  Notions in general documentary research.

Basic scientific English.
Workshops :  Studentsa re expected to complete exercices in documentary research. Exercices shall be adapted to the selected options. To make sure the course fits the students' present and future requirements, professords of the chemistry and biochemistry courses at the Master's level will be invited.
Organization :  Theoretical part through slide presentations, followed by workshops.
Written notes :  Available.
Assessment :  Students will have to produce an in-depth docuùmentation research on a given topic. They will have to be able to formulate questions using bibliographical language and to interrogate two bibliographical data bases. They must also assess the relevance of their research and locate those documents they consider to be of interest. Such expertise will prove necessary when they write their final dissertation.
