| Course contents : | The course is splitted into two parts:
1° The first part consists in a description of the chemistry in water solution (acido-basic reactions, redox reactions).
2° The second part is an introduction to the chemistry of biomolecules. The concepts of chemical bond and molecular properties are introduced. The major classes of molecules are presented. The carbon chemistry and the chemical biology concepts are presented in a qualitative manner. |

| Course objective : | The general objective of the course is to get the students familiar with the scientific background in life sciences chemistry, allowing a correct understanding of general documents including scientific reports, general scientific press papers, business plans...This field is in fact underlying many new industrial activities in the fields of biotechs, pharma and healthcare industry, agrofood industry |
