| Course contents : | In vitro plant culture can be defined as the culture of cells, tissues or organs carried out in sterile conditions and in a perfectly controlled environment. This technique plays an important role in the production of ornamental or agricultural plants, and in the handling of these plants for improved agronomic performance. The first application of micropropagation is the increase in mass higher plants using different techniques: axillary budding, adventitious budding, somatic embryogenesis, .... Other applications are currently in development such as: genetic manipulations, production of secondary metabolites, somatic hybridization from protoplast culture, sanitation by meristem culture, conservation, selection and plant breeding, ... |

| Workshops : | Demonstrations and handling will be included in the presentations. They will focus on the introduction of plant material in sterile conditions, multiplication and rooting techniques, acclimation ex vitro and culture media |
