Course contents :  After a history of the concept of "mise-en-scene", the course proposes an analysis of the staging of actions and elements for theatre, cinema and television.

It will be requested from the students to take an active part in this course which will take the form of a seminar.
Course objective :  - To sensitize the students to the problematics of « mise-en-scene »
- To stimulate their creativity.
- To develop analytical faculties of the student.
Prerequisites :  General knowledge of the history and the language of the cinema and the concepts of theatre's history.
Workshops :  During the seminar, each student will have to propose the analysis of several stagings. It will be also asked to write a note of intention for an original « mise-en-scene ».
