Course contents :  Western European approach to techniques of building construction (project scheduling, building site chronology, foundations, masonry, floors, carpentry, pitched roofs, platform roofs, woodwork, staircases, chimneys): concepts, materials, safety precautions.
Course objective :  To familiarize the student with construction techniques and their specific vocabulary
Prerequisites :  None
Organization :  Class meetings are 1 h 30m in length
Written notes :  Copies of slides used in the theoretical part of the course
Practical guide for architects written by the instructor for the Walloon Region
Glossary of technical words and their definitions (in French, German, and English)
Assessment :  Oral
