| Course contents : | The formation of the students will be done throughout their participation to the reception during the duties services and to the follow up of the animals in intensive care. |
|
| Course objective : | - To learn how to react when confronted to an emergency equine case in teh field of internal medicine, surgery or obstetric.
- To understand the given treatments
- To be abble to insure the follow-up of the horses in intensive care, to develop appropriate technical skills and to adpat the treatment depending on teh evolution of the cases. |

| Prerequisites : | Theorical courses in the subjects covered bu this clinic received during the 4th and the 5th year of the formation. |
|
| Organization : | The training in intensive care is included in the clinics of equine surgery, internal medicine and reproduction and includes participation to duties service. |
|
| Written notes : | There are no specific notes for this clinic. |
|
| Assessment : | Evaluation will be done by means of an written exam, included in the written exams organised for the courses VETE0078-1 and VETE0081-1. |
