 | The general purpose of the lectures of the "Tronc commun" is to present the bacterial diseases of domestic animals in twelve chapters: neonatal period, nine different systems (digestive, repiratory, urinary, genital, nervous, musculo-skeletal, skin, eye, cardiovascular), systemic and septicaemic infections, and an introductory chapter on notifiable diseases. In each chapter, diseases are described for all domestic animals (large and small ruminants, pigs, dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and poultry), with emphasis on the bacteriological aspects.
During the specific lectures of the three options ("Equidés", "Compagnie" or "Rente"), emphasis will be put on the bacterial diseases of the target host species ("Horses", "Dogs, cats, others" or "Ruminants, pigs, rabbits, poultry", respectively). During the practicals ("module paraclinique"), the students will receive the information on the laboratory diagnosis of the bacterial diseases and a more specialised teaching illustrating the lectures. |
