This module consists of the following theory courses:

- Anatomy (Prof. P. GILLET)
- Biomechanics (Prof. M. FOIDART-DESSALLE)
- Special pathology (Prof. M. FOIDART-DESSALLE et M. TOMASELLA)
- Theory and techniques of vertebral re-education (Prof. M. VANDERTHOMMEN)
- Sport and the vertebral column (Prof. J.M. CRIELAARD)
- Particular techniques in physiotherapy (Prof. Y. HENROTIN)
- Promoting health in physiotherapy (Prof. P. MAIRIAUX)
Course objective :  To teach the student, in an integrated manner, Anatomy, Biomechanics, Pathology and Rehabilitation concepts related to spinal column pathologies.
Prerequisites :  None.
Workshops :  See the practical module, which is independent of the practical model: 'Multidisciplinary approach of back pathology in physiotherapy-practice'. Didier MAQUET, Marc VANDERTHOMMEN (RACH0536-1).
Organization :  To be determined.

The clinical stages (100h, courses on theory and techniques of vertebral re-education) are compulsory and are given in the neuro-surgery department, the physical medicine department, the schools for back studies, and the department of chronic lumbago physical reconditioning.
Written notes :  Integrated course reading available from the co-ordinator and on MyULg.
Assessment :  Integrated written exam (long response open questions, short response open questions, multiple choice)
