| Course contents : | Attacks - adaptation - cell death - inflammation, autoimmunity - senescence - circulation system - thrombosis and embolisms - fluid distribution - respiratory system - metabolism - hypersensitivity - healing - tumours - oncogenesis - medical genetics. |

| Course objective : | This course seeks to describe the main processes at work when an organism is subjected to attacks, taking into account the genetic interactions. It includes general notions of pathological anatomy, pathological biochemistry, physio-pathology, immuno-pathology and genetics. |

| Prerequisites : | Human biochemistry, human histology, human physiology, general immunology. |

| Organization : | The course will be given in the first term, using slides, overheads and Powerpoint projections. |

| Written notes : | Copies of slides (etc) will be given to students, along with the lecturers' notes. |

| Assessment : | A written examination at the end of each term. |
