| Course objective : | This neurological module aims to make students understand, through a mult-disciplinary approach, the anatomo-functional organisation of the Nervous System and the physio-pathologie of the main neurological syndromes that could benefit from physical treatment. |
| Prerequisites : | The basics of the anatomy of the Nervous System taught in secondary education and the 'Introduction to Human Anatomy' taught in S2. Electro-physiotherapy (S3), notions of neuro-physiology, biochemistry, histology and the basic principles concerning the movements of the musculoskeletal system. |
| Workshops : | Neuro-anatomy: Plexus and cranial nerves, eye and ear. Braon dissection. |
| Organization : | This module consists of 65 hours of theoretical courses, practice and training programmes that are the object of separated modules. |
| Written notes : | Neuro-anatomy: "Neuroanatomie, organisation anatomo-fonctionnelle du système nerveux: du symptôme neurologique à la localisation de la lésion." J. Schoenen. (Syllabus AREM)
General pathology, human biochemistry: course reading available from the lecturer.
Special pathology: Course syllabus available from Intercopy as far as the first part is concerned and on MyULg for recently updated material. |
