| Course contents : | The simulation techniques are very important in the field of management.
The simulation permits to explain certain phenomena and to predict the future evolution of complex systems.
The simulations are based on deterministic or stochastic models of systems.
The deterministic simulations apply to predictable linear and non-linear systems, and to unpredictable chaotic non-linear systems.
The static and dynamic stochastic simulations are based on a random number generator.
The category of simulations of flows is particularly adapted for the management of high complex systems.
This course will analyse the algorithms, the tools and the software packages of the market as well as the open source softwares for simulation.
In this course, one will study simulation applications in enterprise management, in surface, maritim and air transports, in supply chain management, in production control, in environmental management, etc.
The students will realize a simulation project and will write a report on this work. |
